Anthony Horgan is a partner and co-founder of Reliance Law Group. His practice is focused on advising companies throughout their development cycle, from initial formation to fund raising, operations and eventual exit. He’s advised both private and public companies on a wide variety of issues, including public and private placements of debt and equity securities, mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, regulatory compliance and general corporate governance. He’s also advised private equity clients in connection with the making, refinancing and sale of their portfolio investments.
Anthony began his career as an associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, being mentored by some of the best corporate attorneys in the country. Following Skadden, he held executive management and legal advisory positions. His diverse background and experience shape his approach to each project as a facilitator to help his clients achieve their goals. Forming the Reliance firm has allowed Anthony to expand the types of clients he works with, and most clients rely on the firm to act as their outside counsel on various contract, securities, intellectual property and employment matters.
Some of his most rewarding projects have been pro-bono matters including volunteering as an attorney-coach for the mock trial team at Manual Arts High School in Los Angeles, as well as working with Public Counsel to finalize adoptions of foster youth. Anthony received his J.D. magna cum laude from Villanova University School of Law and his B.A. from the University of Central Florida where he majored in psychology. His personal interests include Crossfit, tennis, golf, cooking, car shows and hiking with his puggle Chunks.
Jack Sahagian is a partner and co-founder of Reliance Law Group. With nearly two decades of legal and business experience, Jack has an in-depth understanding of business transactions at various levels not only from a legal perspective, but also from an entrepreneurial point of view. He has worked with corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships and joint ventures of various sizes, from startups to Fortune 500 companies. He has advised clients on a day-to-day basis on various matters and represented them in connection with a large range of transactions, including formation, financing (public and private), mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, recapitalizations, intellectual property and general contract matters (including leasing, operational, employment, distribution, marketing and licensing).
Prior to co-founding Reliance Law Group, in addition to serving companies in various capacities, Jack practiced corporate law at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom LLP, one of the top firms in the world. Prior to Skadden, Jack practiced intellectual property law at Lyon & Lyon LLP. Jack has developed a diverse corporate and securities law practice for public and private companies in various industries, including hospitality, media, production, film, television, fashion, automotive, gaming, internet retail, real estate, technology, pharmaceutical, healthcare and insurance. Jack is also the head of Reliance Law Group’s blockchain advisory practice, assisting clients in developing smart contracts, designing tokens and conducting securities compliant offerings.
Jack has also represented non-profit corporations in connection with a wide variety of transactions. Jack received his Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School in 2001, succeeding to the dean’s list and graduating cum laude. In addition, Jack received the Dean’s Academic Honors Award, was a member of the Order of the Coif, and was admitted into the St. Thomas More Law Honor Society and the Phi Delta Phi Law Honor Society. Jack earned his Bachelor of Science degree from University of California, Los Angeles in 1996, where he majored in Biology.
